This establishment needs to be investigated for knowingly allowing its tenants to engage in drug dealing, drug use, prostitution, theft rings and other illicit activity. Tenants and visitors to this "motel" are constantly trespassing onto private property next door at 8833 Pacific where we are trying to run and manage legitimate medical businesses. It is a shame this establishment has been allowed to operate as it is, a blind eye is being turned by our leaders in the city and we in the neighborhood are fed up! We call the police daily, we watch from our windows and plainly see what is going on at this "motel" and no one does anything. Our neighborhood would be a safer and cleaner place without this drug den of an establishment. Please investigate and shut them down again like you did a few years back...our community deserves better.

Shopping center has been taken over by homeless. They openly use drugs, defecate, fight, etc. Today, I witnessed two subjects shooting themselves up with drugs without any fear of law enforcement. This is ridiculous City of Tacoma stop passing resolutions that do nothing good for our community and do something about this!!!! I no longer go to this shopping center bc of the illegal activity. Do something!

Another ridiculous party with loud cars, motorcycles, people yelling and loud music. What is the status of the inspection? Why does this continue to happen? Unacceptable that city officials can't even manage to control a make shift night club in a family neighborhood every weekend. Called an no answer from the hall contact because he is probably sleeping, just as the people in this neighborhood want to be.

Excessively loud sound system and bass music all through the night every single weekend, Friday and Saturday nights. Inappropriate for residential zoning; private parties allegedly charging admission at the door to host nightclub parties. Inappropriate conduct in the surrounding street including: "pops" going off that sound like firecrackers vs gunshots vs cars gunning; guests screaming in the parking lot; guests vomiting outside.

Once again, there was a loud party going on at the fireman’s hall well past midnight. We live half a block away and could hear them screaming and carrying on from inside our house. The owner of the property and city officials are deliberately ignoring repeated requests for help with this persistent issue. What is going to take to make them respond?

Neither the City nor the people running the IAFF Firefighters Union Hall seem to understand that it's not 2007. Housing prices have risen, and with them, property taxes and property values. This constant disruption, loud booming noise, and screaming in the streets every single weekend is negatively impacting property values all around in addition to robbing residents old and new of the right to peaceful enjoyment of their homes. If the City is not going to hold the union hall to the noise ordinance laws, than I am bringing a lawyer in once and for all. Neighbors: contact respecting.neighbors1109@gmail.com to organize.

Loud booming music and party until midnight again at the firefighters hall. People yelling in the streets and honking car horns. Multiple complaints almost every week by multiple neighbors since the end of April. Should we still file complaints here or is the city just deciding the firefighters hall is just allowed to have its own laws and the neighborhood just has to deal with it?

Noise nuisance continuing every single weekend including today, 5/27/23. Hours of booming bass coming through a sound system that is not zoned for this area and definitely breaks noise ordinance if not municipal code. Noise nuisance from >700 feet away including inside the home. Clear pattern that at least four neighbors in the area have reported recently- is the city going to act? Noise is coming from guests who rent out the space and either don't know or don't care their impact on people who pay property taxes here. Firehall is completely unmonitored by the owners (a firefighters' union; not the fire dept itself) and they refuse to claim control of the situation and change their sound system despite multiple direct conversations.

The chronic noise that has been characteristic of (every single) weekend evidenced on this platform by multiple houses in the area is now starting up during the work week, which is unacceptable. Currently on a Wednesday night when most of the area need to work in the morning, we have loud booming commercial music for three hours now. We took a sound reading on a decibel reader and the level of noise was at 82 decibels. The noise ordinance limit is 10 decibels above the ambient regular level, which tonight is 46- so this current sound level is currently 36 decibels or 3x the legal amount. More info on the ordinance is 8.122.080 section of the Tacoma Municipal Code.

Another (!!!!) nightclub party at the firefighters hall. Same story as always - loud booming bass disrupting the entire residential neighborhood and keeping our small children awake.
  • 1109 S 50th St Tacoma, Washington, 98408 - South End
We have purchased a decibel reader to start documenting the sound levels every time commercial music and bass from the firehall is coming all through inside our home (currently 11pm in a residential zoned neighborhood). This was taken in the backyard from half a block away. Unfortunately the lack of action enforcing the noise ordinance is pushing our hand toward a civil case.

Booming and bass permeating our entire home for over an hour originating from renters at the firehall. Baby can't sleep. Noise is travelling into all the bedrooms. Home is greater than 700 feet away from the noise source. This is a repeat problem that multiple neighbors have been addressing and we have seen a lot of improvement lately. However there seems to be a specific group that uses the space like a nightclub every Saturday night and generates this noise every Saturday. Many of the other groups have been able to contain their sound levels so they aren't impacting homes.
