Description
We have lived on 19th Street East for 25 years, and it seems that when the weather warms and the street dries, people treat it like a speedway!
Some may not realize it, but it is a fairly busy street. We have large trucks coming up from the train tracks, often hauling equipment, and it does connect to 6th Avenue, which makes it favorable to other streets in the area. But folks, it is still a residential street!
The houses you are flying by, hold children, and small pets that cross the street. Not to mention, we do have a large amount of foot traffic, being off 6th Avenue. We are not asking you to use an alternative street, we are just asking you to slow down!
Thank You

Just too further add to my point, there were 3 accidents last week on 19th Street! 2 car accidents and 1 pedestrian was hit in a seperate incident. Three accidents in one week, it‘s ludicrous!
I also agree with the other posts, it isn‘t just our street it‘s all over the city. Drivers really do need to be more cautious!
