Description

Left Turn Confusing: I've seen several northbound drivers on MLK use the left turn lane on 53nd St only to stop before the southbound lane of MLK because the light is red for the 53nd St cross-traffic. If no one comes up on 53rd St, they sit there for several cycles waiting for a green that will never come.

(Due to the construction, the island is bigger and can hold two cars who can no longer see the left turn signal that got them there which is another reason they wait for extra cycles.)

Either that light needs to turn green or a sign needs to be placed telling left turners not to stop in the island.
