Description
Looking for guidance - a resident of The Walk apartment complex repeatedly allows his dog off leash, where it then defecate's in our landscaping on our property. The owner does not pick up after the dog, and despite numerous times asking him to please not allow his dog to relieve itself on our property, he becomes aggressive and combative, and refuses to stop the behavior or clean up - which is highly unsanitary. Calling animal control would not get a response in time, and this man refuses to stop his dog.

I will be pleased to help you with this problem. I have worked with both the police department and animal control on these problems in our neighborhood.
Do you have CC & R’s in your neighborhood governing pets?
If so, I bet the behavior is prohibited, and your neighborhood association can intervene to advise the resident to desist nor be fined.
It helps to take photos of the behavior which can be used to get help both from the police and animal control.
The behavior is both a violation of City ordinances and your neighborhood rules. I would be happy to help you politely and calmly advise your neighbor about the rules and ask that he comply. I am very comfortable calling 911 in these circumstances if you are not.
