The intersection is in need of a crosswalk. Bikes and peds cross Ashmun all the time in front of what is going to be the new convenience store (read problem soon to be exacerbated) and as they wait cars sometimes pause to let them know they are being allowed to cross and back up traffic. As cars back up during high traffic times, there is no designated time for peds to cross and bikes act as cars and as peds as they come together where the foot/bike path hits the corner. A light, a one way street, a crosswalk....something needs to go in here. It's a mess and an accident waiting to happen.
