Notified About

  • 1765-1799 Bass Rd Macon, GA, 31210, USA - Macon-Bibb County
Missing "US 23" sign as you are approaching Riverside Drive on Bass Road. I repaired the "roundabout" sign with new bolts and lock-washers because someone has been trying to steal it. I believe the missing "US 23" sign is vandalism. Since the sign is NOT on the US 23 / GA 87 right-of-way, it is the responsibility of Macon-Bibb.
  • 5773 Arkwright Road Macon, Georgia - Macon-Bibb County
All of Arkwright Rd is a mess except where PRIVATE business has cleaned up their frontage. It has been a year since the last hurricane and all the tree limbs and debris from storm remain on the roadside. The right of way can't be cut in some places due to debris. Litter hasn't been picked up in over a year.

I was told many months ago that this road was to be closed on the West side. It has not been.

Wesleyan Drive, on the west side of Riverside Drive, will be closed to through traffic. The east side of Wesleyan Drive to Arkwright Road will remain open until the larger roundabout is built by GDOT.
This is exactly what was written on my complaint and the issue was archived.
This is EXTREMELY dangerous in the morning when taking my child to Academy for Classical Education. This morning alone I saw two near misses where oncoming traffic from the roundabout had to slam on brakes because a car pulled across traffic from Wesleyan Drive to go toward the roundabout. PLEASE close the road!
  • 5737 Charles Dr Macon, GA, 31210, USA - Macon-Bibb County
The roadside ditch growth in the first curve on Charles Drive causes greatly decreased vision for pedestrians and vehicles approaching the curve in both directions. We are requesting that a bush hog type mower with an extension arm to reach out beyond and over the ditch be dispatched to significantly trim the summer growth to improve visibility. Your team has done an excellent job of this in the past and we greatly appreciate your continued help with this effort.
  • 5634 Charles Dr Macon, GA, 31210, USA - Macon-Bibb County
The road surface going down the hill between 5644 and 5634 Charles Drive is beginning to crack due to the shoulder dirt washing into the ditch. There is roughly a 50 - 75 foot long stretch where there is very little grass / vegitation growing on the shoulder to prevent the washing. Recommend bringing in a load of sand / fill dirt to build up the shoulder and then seeding with some sort of vegitation to help prevent further washing and road decay.
  • 5293 Riverside Dr Macon GA 31210, United States - Macon-Bibb County
There are at least a dozen big trucks parked at an abandoned car wash. Inside the car wash bay is an old camper and various stuff. This is located where Wesleyan Drive was closed off in back of the Marathon station. Month by month this area is getting more trash and more vehicles. Something needs to be done about this. It was not like this when Wesleyan Drive was open.

There are TWO dumped mattresses at this location. One has been there for AT LEAST TWO YEARS! I reported it ages ago...it’s still there. The second mattress has been there about 9 months. Please, for the love of sweet little Baby Jesus, pick them up.

Please cut back the left "inside" curve right-of-way on Charles Drive to allow an improved line of sight as traffic negotiates each way around the curve. If possible, please use a tractor with a bush hog on an extension arm to reach over the ditch area. This has been accomplished very well on past occasions, usually once a year in the summer. Thank you for your help. - Don Ellis
  • Wesleyan Drive Macon, Georgia - Macon-Bibb County
In the morning on my way up Riverside Drive now that a 4-way stop has been added at Bass Road and Riverside this road needs to be closed! People are using the road to cut through, take a left and go up to the 4-way stop and then take another left to go back to the 4-way stop at Bass and New Forsyth Road. It is extremely dangerous. People on Riverside who are backed up are trying to let these people in to school traffic but are not directing them as to whether cars are coming or not. I have seen numerous occasions where accidents were barely avoided. Two days ago a car had to go off the road into the grass. The 4-way stop on Riverside has actually backed traffic up and made it a much more dangerous area than it was before. Not sure why that was a good idea in the first place? This is the road that runs behind the Marathon gas station.
