I see that quite a number of people have reported this property & the multiple encampment recently. It’s clearly posted with no trespassing signs that include the VPD phone number. So it shouldn’t have to go through CSS. Either patrol units or Code Enforcement need to roust them out, no advance notice or warning needed. They broke through a fence to enter private property to squat. Seems clear that they are breaking the law. This should be on next Tuesday’s homeless camp/dumping cleanups. It’s probably a dump truck load at least.
If this eviction cannot be performed without contacting the property owner, I will find out who it is and contact them myself. Then they can call 911 and have the trespassers removed. We can’t wait months for a response to an eTRAKiT case. I will also post the owners contact information here, so all of us can call to complain directly to the owner.
Error on the previous comments, it should be attached to the homeless encampments behind Exxon & Smart and Final.
This is also an ongoing issue. As I understand that is now limited parking and should be enforced by our contracted parking. Just sits there for days without any tickets. All night long this section of the waterfront is loaded with people at night, camping, partying and dumping. Every morning it looks awful. I suppose no patrols pass them at night?
It has always been limited parking, it’s just that squatters had stolen/vandalized signage. They were reported to downtown/ waterfront parking who deferred to VPD Traffic Division, where a voice message was left Friday pm. They were also reported as squatters to Community Service. They finally moved or were told to move Saturday afternoon. They are now back @ Lot M, boat launch parking. This would be the larger RV w/ green tarp thing ( license plate but no tags) and an old beat up silver blue Jaguar, also plates but no tags, that accompany them. The other RV is down @ River Park with the other RV squatters, an impromptu KOA campground in the making, right next to all the construction materials for COV water sewer upgrade. Good luck with that.
