Also, when will weeds be cut down in median in front of GC Park, corners at intersections (No Regatta & GC Pkwy) as well as landscaped sidewalks NOT affected by construction? I was told Landscapers no longer using Roundup, alternatives too expensive and no budget. We voted years ago to pay more NOT expecting LESS. It is derelict what’s become of Glen Cove Parkway!

I totally agree with you. It is really a shame that our little community is looking more uncared for and forgotten every day, actually it's been years. South Regatta looks like a dessert, corners and intersections need attention too. You are right.

I wish more people would express their concerns so our concerns would be taken seriously.

It was a big mistake tearing out all that mature shrubbery which took years to grow knowing how slow things get done in Vallejo. It will be years before the job is completed, but we'll have new irrigation.
It's a private contractor doing the work with no completion date written into the contract. But their going to get it done because they want to get paid. Lol.

South Regatta was supposed to be repaved about a year ago now. They put down gravel, and that was as far as they could get. Now both my cars need paint from driving on it every day.

Glen cove parkway has weeds getting over two feet tall. Why is this not being addressed? We increased dues and we are getting less lamdscmaintenance. It’s almost July now with minimal progress on the landscaping project and the weeds continue to take over throughout the entire stretch of the parkway. It’s becoming a fire hazard.

Make sure to mention that the rest of Glen Cove Pkwy. looks crappy too, like a forgotten weed bed, dry and uncared for. It's just not right.

While they are making progress, slow progress, just wondering whether or not the rest of GC Parkway will get weeded, watered and trimmed. The center divide looks embarrassing and crappy.

The 2 signs are currently being built and will be installed once they are complete. the plants do get water. The contractor sends staff to the site to water as needed. The irrigation is a drip system so it runs for a long period of time. The crew will come and go turning valves on and off throughout the day while they perform other work in the area. There are several locations along the parkway and throughout the rest of the Glen Cove community that have been identified and sent to the contractor for scheduling of maintenance. Irrigation will be turned on based on plant material and need. Turf areas will be turned on first. With the unseasonably warm temperatures we are seeing currently, irrigation may need to be turned on earlier than we usually would.

Now, if I could just get someone to address the restriping concern at S. Regatta and GC Pkwy. It's been outstanding for 8 months with no courtesy of a response.

Glen Cove is not looking like people are taking care of it like they should and are being paid for.

Newly landscaped portion of GC was recently weeded, finally. However, the rest of GC Pkwy is full of towering weeds, low hanging tree branches, So Regatta/GC corner is a weed patch, and dead bushes. Phase 1 area, although weeded, is still littered with orange cones, giant “worms”, concrete, raked piles of debris, exposed wiring, not to mention the unfinished sign. Where is the “L (maintenance)” of LMD?
James, LMD, told me in Dec ‘21 that he expected full completion of Phase 1 by end of Jan ‘22. Oh well…..

Isn't that a shame. We have to "oh, well" so often. We are the forgotten area.
What else can we do to light a fire under these people? Who else can we turn to?

South Regatta is still a disgrace. Someone trimmed some of the bushes but there are dead tree stumps all over and dry dirt and just plain ugliness on this road.
