Sonoma Blvd from Curtola Pkwy south to Maritime Academy Dr. is a hazard for bicyclists. All along this stretch of road is a lot of loose blacktop gravel along the curb and extending, in some places, about 18" into the pavement. In some spots it's also quite thick, an accident waiting to happen for the biker whose tire suddenly skids when it hits the gravel, as happened to me recently. It's a "shovel ready job" or perhaps one for the street sweeper. It was this way the last time I rode this way, maybe a year ago, and it's worse now.

This photo is from 1 yr ago. I took another today that shows the exact same problem. From Aug-May, during the Touro school year, the street is often completely parked up when the sweeper is scheduled, due to the high number of students renting on the island. This photo was taken at 8am. If the sweeper was scheduled in the mid-day perhaps, there’d be a lot fewer cars in the streets. Worst case scenario, post some notification signs that have consequences for failure to move vehicles. As it stands now, the current practice is a waste of time and resources.

I first reported this geyser on 6/27/19 and received an email on 7/9/19 that the city had been notified....but it’s still gushing in the mowstrip in front of my home at 722 Oscar St.

There's a sprinkler right in front of our house in the mow strip between the city sidewalk and the street that shoots water all over when it runs (including all over our truck which is usually parked out front). You can't mistake which one it is because it sticks up out of the ground
