Its not sewage water!! There must be a least one catch basin that hasn't been cleaned in a long time!! They used to do them on a schedule. Keep complaining about it. Tell them when it rains the street floods.it would also be a good idea to go out there and keep the garbage from building up at the catch basin..This is what happens because people are slobs and don't care about anything.it would be a good idea to tell people to stop throwing garbage out the car window ect !!
I know they put new tops on quite a few catch basins, but they did Not Clean Them!!!¡

If its sewage water then its a problem with the sewer not the catch basins.if its only your house and nobody else then i would have your sewer line checked with a camera. If alot of people are having a problem then there might be a clog in the street. Rain water and sanitary are separate in New Britain.

The system is only separate until the storm system rises to a level high enough to get into the sewage system. I have a backwater valve but the pressure in the system is so great that it still is able to push past the seal on the valve. The City of New Britain has been been taking this matter seriously. All of the concerns and information that the public has given to the city, is share by both the Utility Division and the City's engineering department to address the flooding issues.
