It seems to me that there should either be a pedestrian crosswalk OR a pedestrian signal at intersections - not both. When both of these are present, people tend to ignore the pedestrian signal when it says don't walk and still walk out into the crosswalk when the light is green. It seems to me if there is a signal that says don't walk, then don't walk! Others push the button to get th walk signal and cross before it changes and traffic is stuck waiting through an entire walk cycle. I constantly read comments on here from pedestrians who complain about drivers not adhering to pedestrian laws...what about pedestrians that don't adhere to the laws?
