3) begin investigating how to implement a camera to issue tickets to cars not stopping for pedestrians in the crosswalk
We could also use one of those solar powered flashing signs that reminded drivers have fast they are going against the posted speed. Studies have shown that even though they are not punitive (no tickets issued) they are incredibile effective at reducing speed. It is essentially a feedback loop that changes behavior.
I think buses and taxis are some of the greatest offenders - both professions that need safe driving records to be sustainable.
