And the property owners along Whitney from Edwards to Willow on the west side. Some have do e a great job and others havn't made any effort. It's no fun walking on the street. The firehouse is an outrageous situation. They can get their trucks out but imperil pedestrians by not clearing the sidewalk.
With the historic amount of snow that we received within a 24 hour period, digging out as a community has taken much longer than we would have liked. DPW continues snow removal and road widening operations, LCI has been delivering snow shoveling warnings, and 203-946-8221 is still the number to call for assistance with storm related questions and information. Nothing has been done to clear the sidewalks at the fire house. When I walked by, the fireman were standing around and throwing snowballs. Perhaps they could pitch in.
