Request (if possible and practical) survey be conducted regarding an "All Red Phase" to the signal lights in all directions for the intersection of Maritime Academy Dr/Sonoma Blvd and Sequoia/Sonoma Blvd. When one direction of traffic switches to a red signal, the next direction of traffic immediately is released to a green signal (as of 12/16/2014). Due to the size of the intersection and average speed of drivers entering and exiting Interstate 80 I would recommend and "All Red Phase" be established to ensure any drivers entering the intersection at the end of the "Yellow Phase" have opportunity to safely clear without the next direction of traffic being released.
