In the past, when they do clean up these 5 foot weeds, they ignore the weeds on the sidewalk. The people who are hired to clean up the lot expressly state that they are not hired to clean up the large growth of weeds on the sidewalk itself. Indeed the sidewalk gets worse as the lot itself is cleared, from all the clippings.

This issue has been forwarded to the Fire Prevention Division for handling, since they address weed abatement on privately owned vacant lots (Code Enforcement only addresses weed abatement on private properties with a building structure on the lot).
