Description
Every night between 8pm and 9:30pm for the past 4 months an ice cream truck sits outside of our house for a while each night. No one is buying ice cream this time of year, I think the vendor is just talking to friends.
We tried to endure through the summer, but I don't think it's ever going to stop. The exhaust smells terrible and the motor is extremely loud.
Please help us!

It sounds like a really frustrating situation. It seems that an important first step in addressing it may be talking to the driver and letting him/her know how the exhaust is affecting you. If you email us at IdleFreePhilly@cleanair.org, I would be happy to send you fact sheets with information about the health effects of idling and about the anti-idling laws we have in Philadelphia. And certainly, if talking doesn't lead to a helpful solution, we can explore further possible steps.
