We have tried talking to store management, we have called Sherwin Williams corporate, we have contacted the property owners, heck we have even contacted the lawyer of the property owners. Still the Sherwin Williams property lacks any type of regular property maintenance. We will continue to work on this until we see REGULAR trash/litter removal. Neighbors are left cleaning up a commercial property and trying to thwart the dumping.

In the winter of 2012, things started to get better with the property for about 3 weeks after neighbors started to get VERY focal with the corporate offices. But they're back to their old ways. Just a few weeks ago the wonderful folks with City Year removed bags of trash from this property. Again, VOLUNTEERS cleaning a commercial property.

This may also be the cause of all the trash on 10th St, which is much more filled with street litter than surrounding streets. Something has to be done about this. The police should be called. Have they been?

I've called 311 with no luck to get any type of resolution. I've talked to the lawyer of the property owner. To be honest, I'm at my wits end with this issue.

I've gotten emails from both the Sherwin W. Corporate office and the store manager promising change, but nothing has changed. It's ridiculous. I can't imagine that the SW brand would want to be represented by these folks...

It got better for a while, then it seems that they dropped the ball again. This past weekend during the city clean-up, we hoped to see them out there. Nope. CityYear volunteers removed bags and bags of trash from this property while we weeded tree beds further north. SherwinWilliams should be ashamed of this store. It's terrible for their brand...

Still not keeping their property tidy. The grass is about a foot long at the moment, and there is trash covering almost every part of their property, front, back and side....

Just called 311 and they said they'd send someone from L&I out to check on the maintenance of this site. The ticket # is 2437538 if anyone wants to check on it or follow-up.

I again contacted SW Corporate about this issue. There is NEW graffiti now on the building that has been left for three weeks now. I physically went in the store a few weeks ago to ask if they could clean up the litter all over the property and they looked at me like I had two heads. Nothing has changed with this store unfortunately. Still battling constant trash and graffiti.

So I guess L&I did not find all the litter and graffiti to be a problem. Maybe because much of it is on the sidewalk and technically city property not SW property? What else can be done?
