Completely agree. Design flaw. These trash cans had a lot of potential too. Perhaps if they were changed more frequently and the handles cleaned. I still always think twice and use my pinky to open. Too bad. They were a huge upgrade from the loose bags that blew in the wind and emptied trash into the street. I don't see Philly changing this design anytime soon but perhaps they'll start emptying them more frequently ? I hope.
