Two new patches have popped up in the bike lane here. (Previous cuts were repaired a few months ago). The new square cuts were patched with "lumps" of asphalt, but the areas between the asphalt and the edge of the cuts were filled with fine, loose gravel. Two weeks later, the gravel, which was creating a slipping hazard for cyclists, has washed away completely and there are 2-3 inch deep holes around the edges of the patches.
